High holiday round-up.

Isn’t it amazing how some people will go to extraordinary lengths to not say some extraordinary things?

Maybe that is how I am summing up the last Jewish year. I’m looking forward to a new year of trying to get inside other people’s… shoes. It seems I have assumed that’s one of my stronger traits, but not lately.

Yom Kippur was Yom Kippur. Profound. But for someone feeling as unspiritual as I have been for the last year, I think I did an OK job.

I’ll admit it felt wholesome to be back in the synagogue I grew up in as opposed to some women’s lib shul in Jerusalem. That’s cool if it’s your thing, but it’s not mine.

Shana tova.
